Add this all together, and you've got a blend that delivers on taste, texture and body.
Best brewed as... Cafetiere, Filter or Pour Over
The Union de Cooperativas Agropecuarias (UCA) is comprised of 18 cooperatives, all situated in the Jinotega region of Northern Nicaragua, the home of around 65% of all coffee production in the country. Today, the CoOp has over 650 members, of which nearly a third (31%) are women, all dedicated to creating a sustainable programme of farming and cultivation to help benefit not only the current growers, but the generation to come.
To this end the UCA invests heavily in the education and development of the younger members of the surrounding communities. Coffee is facing a crisis when it comes to finding a workforce for the future, but by encouraging younger people to take an interest in the industry, the UCA hopes to see its efforts carried on by future generations.
Made of the same material as a lot of carrier bags and food packaging, our new bags are made of LDPE plastic, which can be recycled in a number of ways.
