Coffee can make you feel good even before you taste it. So everything we do considers the people and planet around us. That means fair trade and organic coffee, ethically sourced and held to high social, environmental and ethical standards.
We've worked closely with the Soil Associationsince day one, who work with over 3,500 farms and organic businesses all over the world - and is one of the most recognised and trusted organic symbols out there.
Unlike non-organic coffee production that makes wide use of manufactured chemicals and pesticides, organic coffee is produced with natural, certified fertilisers which not only use less energy but leaves much less of a footprint on the communities that use them.
We make sure that everyone who has a part to play in our coffee gets the treatment they deserve - and buying organic is an important part of that process.
Organic Coffee Ensures:
A better price for the farmers at market
No artificial pesticides, solvents or other chemicals
For us, Fairtrade is a way to guarantee that our producers a minimum price for their coffee, whilst also helping to invest back into the farms and crops themselves - helping create a sustainable, more secure future for many of the farmers we work with.
Now, before we start getting into the nitty-gritty, we want to make it clear that we're not saying that it's 'Fairtrade or nothing'. Many coffee companies & charities working directly with farmers and CoOps do absolutely fantastic work, but we're happy that our decision to go Fairtrade is the right one for us - here and now.
The Benefits of Fairtrade
