Big on body and brimming with smoky sweetness, our Dark Roast is a punchy blend that will dominate your palate long after you’ve emptied your coffee cup.
The secret’s all in the timing. We take beans from Peru, Sumatra and Ethiopia and roast them well beyond the ‘second crack’, where the flavours of the beans are transformed from notes of biscuit and caramel to bittersweet, smoky chocolates and rich red fruits.
It’s not often you find a bean that can completely transform any blend it's introduced to; but that’s exactly what our Ethiopian Sidamo does. Known as the birthplace of coffee (and, whilst we're at it, mankind as well), Ethiopia is famed for its vast array and complexity of coffee varietals, with each and every bean a delight to experience and savour.
