Ground & Wholebean

Vibrant, deep, and bursting with flavour, this single origin from the cloud forests of Peru is a well-rounded, naturally sweet bean that sits high on a body full of chocolate and cream. A deep, full-bodied coffee, our Decaf can be savoured equally as a light and lazy cafetière or traditional espresso.
Naturally light, this Peruvian bean is a fantastically versatile bean with a range and depth perfect for those looking for an enjoyable, easy-drinking decaf. Roasted medium-light, it’s natural vibrancy is complemented by roasting flavours of biscuit and cashew - resulting in an toasted, almost autumnal cup of coffee, especially when brewed strong as an espresso or cafetiere.
When enjoyed as a lighter filter or pour over, however, its high notes of hazelnut and sweetened honey give way to a clean finish, leaving the palate refreshed and fragrant.
Best brewed as... Espresso, Cafetiere or Filter
Formed in 2005 by a small group of coffee farmer-families in San Ignacio, Cajamarca, Bosques Verdes is a cooperative committed to providing the support and training that its members need to improve their livelihoods.
Higher quality coffees and consistent yields mean a better price at market for all their members, as well as a steadier income for individual families - and by promoting best practices in both sustainability and crop management, they have ensured that coffee will continue to be a viable option for future generations, when the time comes.
Decaffeinated isn’t a dirty word around here. That’s because our coffee is decaffeinated the natural way, using water and CO2, and holding on to as much flavour as possible. That’s how we get our decaffeinated coffee to stay so smooth, light and sweet—and stay true to our promise of making coffee that’s good for the planet too.
Our coffees are always crafted with a bit of versatility in mind - so in that regard, they can be enjoyed any way you want. From cafetières and chemexes to moka pots and professional bean-to-cups, you can’t go wrong. In terms of grind levels however, we’ve got a handy little guide here:
Grind Size | Brewing Method |
Coarse | Cafetiere, Cold Brew |
Medium-Coarse | Chemex, Cafetiere (shorter brew time) |
Medium, Medium-Fine | Aeropress (3+ minute brew time), Siphon Kits, V60 & other pourovers |
Fine | Espresso, Moka Pot, Aeropress (1-2 minute brew time) |
