Ground & Wholebean

Grown along the sun-drenched slopes of the Andean range, this single origin makes an exceptionally versatile coffee with a complex full body held high by crisp notes of fruits and berries. Bright and balanced, it makes the ultimate aeropress or cafetière, where its fine notes of green apple and blackcurrant can be enjoyed to the fullest.
When you start with such a complex, beautiful coffee as this it’s very hard to ruin it - so feel free to enjoy it how you like. If you really want to get under the skin of the bean however, we do recommend drinking it as a simple black coffee, made ideally through a french press, aeropress, or any kind of pour over.
By keeping it simple, you’ll allow its flavours to shine. Your first sip will almost be like taking a bite out of an apple - a malic sharpness that hits the tongue before giving way quickly to a juicy, berry sweetness that coats the mouth. Behind this acidity, however, soon follows a body of toasted hazelnuts and milk chocolate with a depth and body that lingers on the tongue.
Best enjoyed as... Cafetiere, Aeropress & Pour-Over
The Association of Indigenous Agroecology Producers (ANEI) is an organisation made up of roughly 700 producers from families belonging to 4 native communities from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Maria region - the Arhuacos, Koguis, Kankuamos and Wiwas.
All four groups share a belief system that focuses on protecting the earth - which is central to sustaining all life - and maintaining a harmony between humans and nature. Following ancestral traditions, and harmoniously living with Mother Nature, these communities do not use chemicals for coffee growing.
One such farm benefitting from ANEI is Dunariwun, run by Oliverio and his family, who are part of the Kankuamo people. They’ve been cultivating coffee since about 1860 and for Oliverio and his family that first cup of coffee they share every morning is incredibly important; representing so much more than just fuel for their day.
Made of the same material as a lot of carrier bags and food packaging, our new bags are made of LDPE plastic, which can be recycled in a number of ways.
