All of it recyclable. Here's how.
Our entire coffee range is 100% recyclable: pods, beans, grounds and bags. The pods are aluminium and go back through Podback, the UK's free national scheme. Everything else goes through cardboard or LDPE collection.

We were the first independent coffee company to join.
We want every coffee pod enjoyed to be recycled, and Podback is how that happens. It is the UK's free nationwide pod recycling service, and we signed up ahead of every other independent brand.
Add a free Podback recycling bag to your basket when you buy your pods, then drop your full bag off at your nearest collection point. Podback turns the aluminium into new items, and the coffee grounds inside into renewable energy and soil improver.
Three ways to get your pods collected.
You don't need to empty the pods first. The grounds go with them and are separated out at the other end.
In store
Drop off your Podback bag when you're doing your regular shop.
Recycling centre
Save pods loose and drop them into the Podback container at your local recycling centre on your next visit.
Check your postcode
Enter your postcode in the Recycle Checker and the interactive map shows where you can recycle, and how to get free bags if they're needed.
Our move to 100% recyclability.
Since 2013 it has been our mission to bring you the highest quality organic, Fairtrade coffee in the most ethical and sustainable fashion. Our pods are recyclable aluminium. The rest of the range has moved to LDPE, low density polyethylene, which is 100% recyclable and keeps the coffee as fresh as possible.

Four things to do with what's left.
Swipe for moreGeneral waste
Chuck your spent grounds out with your normal household waste and you're good to go.
Face scrub
Mix with coconut oil and demerara sugar. You'll be left looking good, and we imagine smelling good too.
Deodouriser
Pop your spent grounds in a little pot in the fridge to capture unwelcome odours and smells.
Compost
Add to your compost heap or place on top of the soil, where it helps keep slugs, snails and ants at bay.
Two routes for LDPE.
Made of the same material as a lot of carrier bags and food packaging, our bags for beans, grounds and coffee bags are LDPE plastic, which can be recycled in two ways.
Check with your local authority first
More and more local authorities now accept this material in regular household recycling, so start there.
If they don't take it, your supermarket will
Most large supermarkets have an area for recycling plastic bags. Add our coffee packaging in with those on your next trip.
Good to know
Recycling questions.
Yes. Our pods are 100% recyclable aluminium, and the outer packaging is recyclable cardboard. Recycle them through Podback, either in store or at your local recycling centre.
No. Podback takes the pods with the grounds still inside. They are separated out and turned into renewable energy and soil improver.
Add a free Podback recycling bag to your basket when you buy your pods. Some collection points also supply bags directly, and the Recycle Checker above will tell you which.
It depends on your local authority. Our bean, ground and coffee bag packaging is LDPE plastic. A growing number of councils accept it kerbside; if yours doesn't, most large supermarkets have a soft plastics collection point that will.
We moved our pods from plastic to aluminium in 2018. The original plastic pods were recyclable but presented difficulties we weren't prepared to live with. Aluminium is infinitely recyclable and is what the national Podback infrastructure is built to process.
