To help maintain the look of the wooden lid it is always best to wipe clean with a damp cloth or hand wash and let air dry, as the wood can dry out over time if exposed to too much moisture.
Do not leave the lid to soak in water - and as such, we don't recommend that the wooden tops are placed in the diswasher. If, however, the wood does start to look tired or dry, the varnish can easily be renewed by rubbing any vegatable-based oils into the lid. Simply use small, circular motions until the oil is completely absorbed into the wood.
Leave to completely dry. If the surface is still sticky to the touch, get another clean cloth and repeat the circular motions until the residue is removed.
