1.Combine the flour and salt and mix well. Create a well and add the warm water.
2. Allow to rest for 10 minutes to hydrate. It should form a thick dough.
3. Once the dough is formed, knead it and then divide it in to 8 balls. Next, flatten and shape each ball into a disc.
4. Heat the oil in the pan and and cook the arepas for 5- 8 minutes- flip over and repeat.
5. Cut in half, once cooled slightly, and fill with whatever you choose. Colombian favourites are shredded meat, blackbeans and cheese.
